 Rev. George and Carolyn Snelling are a team who serve daily in their ministry. The Rev. is Pastor of a local church and his wife is a homemaker who teaches children in Bible school, sings in the choir, solo's, arranges flowers and cooks meals for all sized groups.
The Rev., who holds three earned degrees, has served churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Nevada and California. He has been a teacher and has written five published books and contributed articles to many publications.
The couple enjoys long walks on the beach a few times a week, they like a good movie and they like exploring the desert from time to time. They have two dogs, Joy Joy and Rambo, whom they say, "rule the house". The two collect Asian Art and Carolyn also collects dolls. They like to entertain and have many friends with varied interests and from different cultures. Carolyn is a gourmet cook.
I asked the Rev. if he has a wedding philosophy and a particular plan or message to be delivered. He answered "NO". He said, "A wedding ceremony should be simple and personal with words of love and promise that the couple can appreciate. Each couple should have the opportunity to contribute to their service, if they like, with their own vows, although this is not necessary. The ceremony should reflect that this is a very happy occasion".
I also asked him where he as performed wedding ceremonies. He answered, " in churches, rented halls, hotels, on beaches, in homes, parks, garden, on top of high-rises and even in hospital rooms. A wedding can take place wherever a couple desires." |
